Lease to Purchase

A real path from renter to homeowner.

Less-than-perfect credit shouldn't close the door on owning a home. Our Lease to Purchase program gives qualified tenants time to build credit, save for a down payment, and lock in the home they're already living in.

Here's how it works: you move into a Lime home as a tenant under a standard lease, with an agreed purchase price and a defined window — typically 12 to 36 months — to exercise your option to buy. A portion of each monthly rent payment is set aside as credit toward your future down payment, so every month you live in the home, you're moving closer to owning it.

During the lease term, we work alongside you and our local lending partners to get you mortgage-ready: building rent and payment history, improving credit scores, paying down debt, and stabilizing income. When you're ready, you exercise your option, your accumulated rent credits and option fee apply at closing, and the keys to the home you already love are officially yours.
